The VC5022 combines the latest HEXFET® Power VC5022OSFET Silicon technology with the advanced DirectFETTVC5022 packaging to achieve the lowest on-state resistance in a package that has the footprint of a VC5022ICRO-8 and only 0.7 mm profile. The DirectFET package is compatible with existing layout geometries used in power applications, PCB assembly equipment and vapor phase, infra-red or convection soldering techniques, when application note AN-1035 is followed regarding the manufac- turing methods and processes. The DirectFET package allows dual sided cooling to maximize thermal transfer in power systems, IVC5022PROVING previous best thermal resistance by 80%.

Note 11: Output resistance (ROUT) models all voltage losses in the charge pump. ROUT can be used to estimate the voltage at the charge pump output (POUT): VPout = (1.5 x VIN) C (ROUT x IOUT). In the equation, IOUT is the total output current: the sum of all active Dxx output currents and all current drawn from POUT. The equation applies when the charge pump is operating with a gain of 3/2 (VIN 4.75V typ.).


* Applies to noncascaded/nonsynchronous clocked configurations only. With synchronously cascaded counters, (1) Clock to Ripple Carry Out  propagation delays, (2) Enable T or Enable P to Clock setup times, and (3) Clock to Enable T or Enable P hold times determine fmax. However,   if Ripple Carry Out of each stage is tied to the Clock of the next stage (nonsynchronously clocked), the fmax in the table above is applicable.
