The TPS5435x devices are available in a thermally enhanced 16-pin TSSOP (PWP) PowerPAD package. TI provides evaluation modules and the SWIFT Designer software tool to aid in quickly achieving high-performance power supply designs to meet aggressive equipment development cycles.
The D15069FN drives both the upper and lower gates in a synchronous rectifier to +12V. The upper gate drive imple- ments bootstrapping with only an external capacitor and diode required. This reduces implementation complexity and allows the use of higher performance, cost effective, N-Channel MOSFETs.
The D15069FN includes a low on-resistance internal MOSFET switch and synchronous rectifier to maximize efficiency and minimize external component count. No external diode is needed. Other features include soft- start to eliminate inrush current at startup and a 170ms (min) RESET output to provide power-on/undervoltage reset. The D15069FN is available in a 12-pin, 4mm x 4mm thin QFN package with exposed paddle.
